šŸ§‘ā€šŸ¤ā€šŸ§‘ / šŸ” Welp. Here's a retirement. And, a new buy. I bought a new bike today.

I figured you a ā€œRamboā€ bike..

That might work. I dunno. I'm changing the tires on this one as soon as it hits the shop.

It's crazy, when you think about the whole deal. We used to buy an expensive bike at K-Mart for $100. Now, I'm spending $700+...

It has to be assembled at the shop for the warranty. The warranty, on a bike!

BUT.

I'm taking on "The Hulk" this month. I need a new bike.

You would not believe the warranty procedure on a bike. But, I get it.
I'm tellin' ya right now. I will be on this forum complaining about a body injury. All ready have it planned. As soon as I get the bike I'm headed to Myrtle to do the "Hulk" again. I will run into a tree. There is a good chance I'll break something. I've flown off of this path a few times (too many to count) just goofing off.

Never fails. When I"m putting the bike back on the car/truck...always say, "oh, that was fun."

I ride this trail at least four times a week.

Falling and running into trees just hurts too much now.

I got a text Monday informing me the bike would arrive at the shop for assembly today, btwn 12:30 and 2:30. My first thought? "There's no damn way people on Daniel Island are going to be working, assembling, bikes on the afternoon before Thanksgiving."

Now, get this! Here we are in the 'holiday season' and a package shipped arrived early. EARLY!

They said they should have it assembled by noon today...possibly it was done last night.

I can't remember when I got my first Giant bike. I do remember it wasn't this complex. It's literally like the "delivery" process on a new auto purchase. Lifetime warranty on a lot of stuff...get that. But, they have to "fit" the bike...make adjustments on gearing?

I simply don't know. Don't care; just want my bike.

I DO know their shop is across the street from the tennis center on the Island...which means, "legs."
