The Rebels will be playing a top-ranked Alabama team for the second time: On Sept. 20, 1980, the No. 1 Crimson Tide beat Ole Miss 59-35 in Jackson. In the Rebels' other games against the top-ranked team, they lost 27-7 to Tennessee in 1956, 14-0 to LSU in 1958, 7-3 to LSU in 1959, 38-14 to Florida in 1994, 41-24 to LSU in 2007, 51-31 to Auburn in 2010 and 42-3 to LSU in 2011.

*0 Field goals made against Alabama this season. The Crimson Tide's opponents have missed both of their field-goal attempts in 2012. Alabama is one of four teams in the nation that has not had a field goal made against it. The others are Louisville, Army and Arkansas State.

*8 Consecutive Ole Miss coaches who have lost their first conference game. Saturday's contest will be the first SEC game for Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze after four non-conference games to kick off the season. In Billy Kinard's first season as the Rebels' coach, Ole Miss started its SEC campaign with a 34-20 victory over Kentucky on Sept. 25, 1971. Since then, Ken Cooper, Steve Sloan, Billy Brewer, Joe Lee Dunn, Tommy Tuberville, David Cutcliffe, Ed Orgeron and Houston Nutt have lost their first conference game as the Ole Miss coach.

*8 Consecutive victories for Alabama against Ole Miss. The Crimson Tide hasn't lost to the Rebels since a 43-28 setback on Oct. 18, 2003.

Before McCarron's performance this season, the most TD passes that an Alabama player had had in the first four games of a season was eight by Kenny Stabler in 1967. The record for five games is nine and the record for six in also nine. McCarron's 10 TD passes also are the most in a four-game span for an Alabama player. Gary Hollingworth in 1989 and John Parker Wilson in 2007 had nine apiece over four games.

*15 Passes without an interception needed by QB AJ McCarron to break Brodie Croyle's Alabama record for consecutive passes without an interception. Croyle's 190 straight passes without a pick in 2005 rank as the fifth-longest streak in SEC history. The SEC record is 325 consecutive passes without an interception by Kentucky's Andre Woodson during the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

*20 Consecutive September games won by Alabama, the Crimson Tide's longest streak in the ninth month. Alabama's victory over Florida Atlantic last week broke the tie with a 19-game streak that started with the Tide's first September game -- a 24-0 victory over Howard on Sept. 30, 1911 -- and ended with a 7-7 tie against Howard on Sept. 28, 1935. The most recent loss for Alabama in September was a 21-14 setback against Florida State on Sept. 29, 2007.

*146 Consecutive games in which Alabama has scored, the longest streak in school history by 30 games. The Crimson Tide hasn't been shut out since losing 9-0 to Auburn in the final game of the 2000 season.

I thought Ole Miss lost 52-3 last year to LSU?

Also I think McCarron will break Brodie's streak tonight, its going to be in the back of his mind, but I also think he will throw his first INT tonight sadly....Watch him to be more conservative with the ball, throw more to the TE and dump off passes to secure it.

Great post btw, lots of things I didn't even think of :icon_thumright:

Whoever invented the keyboard should have known better than to put the #4 next to the #5.

It was 52 scored by LSU.
