Alabama-Ole Miss almost a top-10 showdown after coaches poll released
It won't be a top-10 meeting, but Alabama-Ole Miss came close.
The Crimson Tide remained No. 2 in Sunday's coaches poll while the Rebels moved up to No. 11. The two will meet at 8:15 p.m. CT Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama (2-0) cruised past MTSU 37-10 on Saturday while Ole Miss (2-0) pounded Fresno State 73-21. The Rebels were No. 14 in last week's poll.
Ohio State remained No. 1, though Alabama still has one first-place vote. The Tide moved to No. 2 after last week's win over Wisconsin, who moved up one spot to No. 23 this week.
