šŸˆ We talk about how expensive tickets can be; what about Bama clothing (hoodies players wearing)

I did run across this yesterday...sort of growing on me. You can find it in the store linked in the Support RTB.com store in the top nav bar...

Yeah, I've been following all of this stuff as well, and Nike is cashing in just as much as anyone on this playoff deal. Go to their website and see all the special items they're wheeling out for these four teams. They got the replica jerseys with the Diamond Nike check on them for $150, got the cleats for $200, and everything else, even those awesome elephant skin looking hyper cool undershirts. Everything has a price on it now ladies and gentlemen.

In the Christmas spirit, our dear frind the bookie gave everyone $15,000 to bet during the bowl games. With the money, you can add to your total or in my case, lose just about ever bowl choice you make. At least I am having fun knowing that I could never be a professional gambler.

I didn't have time to go into detail last night, and I'm going to be brief with this here, but I hope you'll get the idea behind what the BamaBucks are all about.

Just about every software package has rating systems. A lot, like PHPbb, have +1/-1 systems so you can rate every post. I'm not a fan of the -1.

If you recall, on our last software package we added the "thanks" button. It was just like a +1 system but something that was a little unique for out site here when compared to other Bama related web sites. Now, with this new look we installed in the spring, we moved to something that's well known with the "Like" button.

As members participate, they are still earning reputation points, for lack of a better expression. Except, here it's changed to a banking system. The idea of BamaBucks started...gosh, 7-8 years ago. When that was incorporated and people got used to how it worked we put in the casino options. (We've had a lot revolve around this including poker, etc.)

The last two years prior to 2014 we had a sportsbook/betting parlor for members to play around with. Some sites have regular pick-'em contest. We've taken that to another level with the Sportsbook.

Along with the BamaBucks there is a trophy system in place for participation but I've not taken the time to set it up yet. I'll likely get into that after spring camp in 2015—the off-season is when we get into adding, removing, and tweaking things we've got in place.

There's the possibility we'll look at adding a virtual store. It's in development, but not even close to a Beta stage.

In a nutshell, the more you participate the more you have in your BamaBucks account. When we set up the pick-'ems, the more success you have the greater the balance.

Not exactly brief, but I think it gets the gist of what BB's are all about...questions?

Ok, that's about what I thought, but I had never really seen a full explanation. Thanks for taking the time to explain it in some detail.
