🏈 We Need to Follow the Saban Rule

No offense, but how does my focus on Texas as a fan help the team out? I'm going to enjoy Ingram winning the Heisman for waaaay more than 24 hours. History was made yesterday & I'm going to soak it all in.

I am still overcome with emotion about the Heisman and how Mark Ingram received the award with class and genuine humility.

I will enjoy that moment for the rest of my life.

Yes that was great moment. I really enjoyed the other winners supporting Marks moment as well.:a:

I might be a little superstitious about this, but I think that the way fans talk, act and react actually plays a bigger role than people realize. Some might laugh at this concept, but players most definitely get on message boards, and read fan blogs. I would rather them be reading about how tough of an opponent they're matched up against, instead of how wonderful they are for winning an award.

I'm not trying to take anything away from this moment. It definitely is a special one, but I can certainly see where the original poster is coming from, and certainly agree with the concept. Colt not winning the HT is only going to fuel his fire, and we certainly can't bank on Texas showing up in the NC like they did against Nebraska.

mark didnt even wait 24hrs he started mentally prepareing as soon as they called his name last night he represented the university andthe state of alabama with such class to be nineteen he is just a great credit to his family and coach saban and the direction the program is headed i couldnt be happier

It's coachspeak guys... this is a message board. What happened last night was a first in Alabama's rich history... and that is saying something. It deserves to still be discussed... Ingram deserves to be left in the spotlight. He earned it. Attention will turn to the BCSNC game soon enough, but there is still plenty of time to enjoy that Heisman win... like this Monday night when Ingram appears on Letterman (the only time I will watch a Letterman segment in a long time).

Well said!

Let's not beat ourselves up about this, let's enjoy this for MI, CNS and the team!
