Absolutely. I was very happy to see them keep fighting and trading punches late in the game rather than rolling over.

This was a major character-building game. Despite the lopsided stats, our boys had a battle on their hands and the Hokies deserve major props for playing us seriously hard. We have alot of gelling to do on the O-Line, and GMac looked a bit nervous to start. But we really came together as the game wore on and that bodes well for the whole season. VaTech will be among the very best defenses we see all year- including LSU. Only Florida in the SEC championship game if it turns out that way would be noticably better.

We need to give VaTech their due. I am glad we had a real battle. It will serve us well later in the season.
