🏈 Was this the first Bama game to end because of lighting?

I can remember a game being stop because of the weather, but the game was completed. I guess both coaches would have to agree on this?

I was wondering the same thing. I know its the first time in the modern era that I recall but I only go back to 1961.

I don't remember one either. 2012 Missouri game was interrupted and resumed. There was a game at BDS that was interrupted for tornado warnings, then resumed. In the nineties I think.

I forgot about the Mizz game, the one you talking about in the '90 that was ole miss game. if I remember right ole miss was moving the ball on Bama that day till the tornado warning happen. But, the game was finish.

Rick, do you remember the 1983 Auburn game/ Back then we didn't now any better and played the game without stop, even though there were tornados all over the Birmingham area. I remember that at the start of the second half the wind was coming out of the north, and somewhere around the end of the third quarter the crazy weather came through and the wind started coming out of the south. We ended up going into the wind both quarters. The previous day we had 12 inches of rain in 24 hours in the area. It was only through the grace of God that no one was killed in all of that.
