I see this and think, "I never used balloons. Not a bad idea. I used the plastic army men!"

Then I think ... couldn't afford that (and I have no idea how much a bag of balloons would cost then.) I wouldn't want to blow them up. They're too damn big.

Thought the same thing about the balloons. We used cans and bottles. Used spent 22 casings when I moved up from a pellet gun.

We still have two old BB guns we'll shoot at cans hanging from trees when we're at one friends house. It's fun because they are so inaccurate and you can watch them.

Funny you mention the casings. We were plinking with a .22 shooting .22 casings three or so weeks ago. An old vet that does his own reloads gave him boxes of them. I don't know anything about it other than his wife saying it was dangerous.

Like most things, dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. I would trust myself more than I trust factory ammo but I don't shoot enough for me to justify the expense of reloading equipment
