It's rare, especially nowadays, to see that kind of pocket presence in a high school QB. This day in age all of them tend to scramble at the first sign of pressure...even the highly touted ones. I'm impressed, and I'm with the rest of ya, I don't see why he doesn't have more big time offers.

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how Allen HS was familiar. Just like always, at least it seems that way, it dawned on me about 2AM this morning.

Casey Dick, and his brother Nathan, went to HS there.

Now I'm left with the burden of trying to figure out if I read that somewhere yesterday, my memory is just that good...

I like his size and his apparent pocket presence as well. I also have wondered why no more big-time offers.

He is ranked the #65 QB and a 3-start on Scout,

Morris has an arm blessed to make all of the necessary throws and that is definitely his biggest asset. He really has a cannon. He can sit in the pocket and use that super charged arm to serve up deep balls and fire balls over the middle of the field. He continues to get better and better. Watching him this spring you can tell that he has worked hard on shortening his delivery to get the ball out quicker, but still has some more work to do.

Rivals has him as a 3-star and he is the 35th pro-style QB listed. They also have him at only 6-3 (and 235), whereas Scout has him at 6-4 (also 235).

ESPNU has him ranked at #45 overall with a score of 78 (of note is the fact that AU's Zeke Pike is ranked at #24 with a score of 79). Not much of a write-up, but strangely, they have him at 6-2 and 200 lbs (?!?).

I have to think he will get more attention as an Alabama commit during his senior season. We'll see how he ends up.

The second video showed some good pocket-presence; he moved well left and right as pushed by the rush. Also, he was not the lumbering target that they make him out to be when he is on the run (must be the 200 lbs ;)). He was not Barry Sanders, but he did break a few arm tackles and punished the Defense for breaking containment...which is good enough in my book.
