Saban apparently likes to have legitimate competition at QB. His last year at LSU the roster included at QB; Mauck (NC winner), Flynn (would win NC later), Jamarcus Russell, and Marcus Randall. All of these guys were legitimate contenders. I like the competition and Star was obviously the bottom of the pile. I can't blame him for wanting to transfer. It'll be interesting to see how this season plays out.
