I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Lewis several times over the past several years before he passed away. His condo was next door to my son's in Tuscaloosa. A very nice man who loved everything Alabama.
And beLieve this...he coached some in HS....and he had a player that he coached do this....Gadsden Tigers.... i was there..( I think...damn it was a long time ago)

Finally, people I can call old farts, used to being one of the oldest on a board. I graduated from FPHS in '89. I think we still played y'all occasionally back then. No way now, since they joined Gadsden and Emma Sansom into one school.
