I don't know, some of that kind of seemed picky. Regardless, while I have been very critical of the pair this year, I think they called a great game.

I must say that I thought they did a better job this game as well. Still seemed to have a little UF bias but weren't as bad as games past.

I thought they did a much better job of seeming impartial yesterday, especially considering Tebow was on the field... it couldn't have been easy for them, so I applaud their efforts on that front.

That said, Vern had a woeful day with the play by play, even by his standards. I'm starting to wonder if he doesn't have some early onset of dementia, because I swear I don't remember him being this bad a few years ago... and normally folks get better with experience, not worse. His (well, both of their) confusion on the missed PAT was a real low point... there is just no excuse for him (them) not to know the basic rules of CFB. My poor wife even looked at me and said, "they can't return that, can they?". She said it is folks like Vern the keep people like her from learning the rules well... :lol:

Usually I like to stay out of the discussions of Verne and Danielson, but it was just a little ridiculous this weekend. You have to seriously consider Verne's retirement if your CBS. I mean, it's getting so bad they're confusing me during a broadcast...and I can usually correct them after most things aloud.
