🏈 Verge of a fall?

This SECCG has offered more deep-diving break downs than any game that I have seen, maybe ever. Time and time again media heads call the game "Florida wins a close one, but only because of Tebow".

When Tebow graduates, then what?

Since the last time they won an SEC Title or a National Title or had a Heisman Trophy winner, these are the changes that have/will/might occur to Florida's program:
~~ UF Offensive Coordinator gone,
~~ UF Defensive Coordinator mostly likely leaving,
~~ UF Head Coach's "Dream Job" comes calling,
~~ UF Best player ever leaves,
~~ Randy Shannon at Miami gets his QB of the future,
~~ FSU shedding Bobby Bowden, and
~~ Nick Saban continues to build a Tide power house that is on their schedule for the next two years.

Offensive Coordinator Dan Mullens leaving and Nick Saban are the only two items that Florida has already had to overcome in aiming for Conference and National Titles this year. The point is that these two alone just might be enough to end the run today.

Even if these two are not enough, the question is What will be the accumulative effects of the entire list be on Florida's future? If two from the list are almost enough, the entire seven will be difficult to explain away. I seriously question if it is possible for them to overcome it all.

Last season Dan Mullins was Urban's "Starter" at Offensive Coordinator, his first choice. Urban is playing with his "Second Stringer" this year, and it shows in the statistics.

Charlie Strong is the hottest Assistant Coach in America, offering a school both the promise of a first-rate Defense and the PR bump that comes from hiring a Black Head Coach. I can't imaging that there is not some pressure on Coach Strong to jump to a HC position coming from within the Black Coaches community, because there are some causes that are
greater than Charlie Strong's comfort in Gainesville. When he leaves, he will not be replaced by someone as good as he is, and UF does not have a Head Coach that can cover down and carry the load on that side of the ball like Bama could. This pending loss will have an impact that must be accounted for in assessing Florida's future.

Urban accepting the Notre Dame Head Coaching job is to Florida what the A-Bomb was to the Bikini Islands. Lightening struck twice for UF with Spurrier and Meyers, but it won't a third time with another coach of that level. It has never happened in history that a school has had three world beating coaches in a quarter century. Should he leave, this drop in
coaching must be accounted for.

Tebow will not be replaced. It will force Florida to join the rest of College Football in being a team with QB, and system centered around that QB, that can be practiced against. Florida can be good, but Florida will not have the X-Factor of all X-Factors. "But for Tebow, ____ beats Florida" and "...only because they have Tebow." are gone, and that loss must be
accounted for.

Much like Bama being down during the Probation Years made Tommy Tubbervile look like a really good coach, Florida has benefited greatly from FSU and Miami being down. With more prospects than the in-state schools can sign, actually playing the gators can not full explain why the 'noles and 'canes have been down. Both teams now have reasons to
believe that they can turn things around. This impacts one game a year on the gator's schedule (UF/FSU), but it makes the recruiting game more difficult year around. In a game where one Florida High School recruit is make or break for a Championship Team (i.e. Tim Tebow), this change must be accounted for.

2009 SECCG...Nick Saban must be accounted for.
2010 regular season...Nick Saban must be accounted for.
2010 SECCG...Nick Saban must be accounted for.
2011 regular season...Nick Saban must be accounted for.
2011 SECCG...Nick Saban must be accounted for.
5 games against Nick Saban in the next 24 months, that must be accounted for. That is more than twice what any other SEC team has to do. Good luck with that.

The gators can have hope, but they must first explain how they will negate these difficulties. This one College Football fan does not think that they can.

The fall is pending, and if anyone does not think I'm correct I'd love to hear their reasoning.
