Geez......

How about a home and home with meechegan instead? the gate alone is great for both squads.....

Ohio State? Penn State? Texas?

Sheesh, home and home with Hawaii - one year we get a team to come play us, the next year the players get a trip to Hawaii... and any fans that would like to go and support AND see the islands.... would it cost 1.9 million to fly the team AND the band to Hawaii?

Appears the annual NS game has run it's course. Would like to see a return to the previous Three Year policy of H/H/NS. It had just barely gotten off the ground when GT asked out of the 2013-2014 H/H and Bama dropped the 2016-2017 H/H with Michigan State. 2015 and 2018 had been left open for NS games.

Yes it is a record. If i was a season ticket holder I would have to rethink these home game schedules. But they usually have plenty of money and don't worry a whole lot about it. lol

And for us that season ticket holders...thats the year Vandy rolls in on our rotating schedule from SECe opponents....so on top of getting Utah State...we get Mississippi State....AnM....Vandy and AU....at home... for 1500-2000$....

I wonder....is Bama really having such a hard time getting games.....wow...
Agree with @bradenob .....home n home with Hawaii....Ms50+ is ready to go back...
Was really cool...Bama fans everywhere.... dropped 6K$.....but was fun...

Playing Hawaii in Hawaii is one of the worst games to have. It takes too long to get there and too long to come back. You lose a day on the return trip. That's why the NCAA allows a school to play 13 games IF they play Hawaii in Hawaii. It may be great for a fan, but for the team it is horrible.

That does make sense - did we do that at the end of the year when we went? Wasn't there probation (unfair) so we thumbed our noses at the NCAA and played Hawaii to give the players a type of bowl game since we couldn't go? Maybe it wasn't so bad under those circumstances because it was the last game - IF my recollection is correct.

Would still be cool if we could go a week EARLY :D

You could lose a day and wouldnt matter....plus u play on sat..fly home on Sunday...thats a non football day for players anyway...
Not but a few more hours then playing west coast teams... or what UGA had to do in playoffs...or play them before ur off week...or Thursday night after off week....lots of options

If I remember (and there's no guarantee that I do), it was scheduled late (for scheduling). We weren't going to a bowl game, so it was a way of going to a bowl game without going to a bowl game. Going there isn't the problem. It's coming back. If you leave in the morning from Hawaii (~8 a.m.), you get back late in the evening (~midnight) and you have jet lag. If you leave in the evening (~5 p.m.), you land in the early morning (~7 a.m.) and you have jet lag. Traveling immediately after a game is uncomfortable and something you don't want to do for 9+ hours.

Lol! In 2016, Hawaii played California in Australia on Friday, August 26 (Saturday, August 27 in Hawaii) and played at Michigan on Saturday, September 3!! Was back in Hawaii on September 10 against ut-Martin, and played at Arizona on September 17!!! California took the second week (actually the first week) off rather than play the 13th game.
