Kiffin's response - 11 months, 11 days

I don't have a link, but 680TheFan here in ATL just played Kiffin's comments to the media yesterday.

He stated he has been at UT 11 months and 11 days and this is the 1st "incident". Oh boy, that was his response? Can anything intelligent come out of his mouth? He had all day to prepare a sound statement and THIS is what he says?! :shock: Can you even imagine Saban saying that?

What - does Tennessee have a big sign that Lane Kiffin changes the numbers on every day - such and such days now without an "incident". Just wow.

I saw it on ESPN and I didn't think it was all that bad. Had I been a UT fan, it would not have embarrassed me.

I'll take the high road here. ...I said it then, and I'll say it again. If a recruit comes down to Tennessee and Alabama it's probably someone we don't want.

Alright, don't know if the story was ever updated from the initial reports....

The players were charged with 3 counts of Attempted Robbery. Bamasambo is correct on the girl taking the charges for the dope. The "3" is really meaningless at this point.

After reading the lastest story, I'm more in favor of Bamasambo's stance that they walk on probation. I could see a 3 year split supervised probation on these charges. Especially since the female is taking the dope charges.

It also wouldn't surprise me to see Jackson skate completely on this, especially if he decides to help himself, which it appears that he wants to do.

As I stated yesterday, and some doubted me: these guys will walk with little more than probation and community service. Either the media got the whole story wrong, was misinformed, or the internet message boards got a little too carried away throwing these 3 dummies under the bus. Nobody, maybe, maybe 1 of them, will do any time.

I'm also gonna go out on a limb and say all three will play in a Tennessee uniform again. Think I'm nuts? Ask yourself, if you or I non-football playing types had been arrested for attempted armed robbery, would our University have put up with it? Nah. All three will play again in a Tennessee uni. Maybe as soon as 2 weeks.
