Personally, I'd like to see the Tide ranked at #1 at least once this season even if they don't win it all. The consecutive seasons with a #1 ranked team is a fun trivia bit.

I don't mind being not in the spot. The last two time Bama No#1 from start to finish it was not a good thing. The playoff no#1 isn't the best place to be. Three time Bama was in that spot and three time Bama with home without that Hardware.

Going start to finish is a chore....rarely happens... and no #1 team in playoff 4 has won it all...
