🏈 Unprepared?

Treadwell was the other man I believe and I agree @TerryP , you don't leave him in single coverage. If you play with two safeties, you HAVE to have a guy over the top of him. You take the other safety and slide over to the trips or bunch side. Now it becomes assignment, man or zone concept. Did the corner or star think he was in zone with Landon over the top or was Landon thinking he had inside man and everyone was supposed to be locked up?

He's making less than $700k a year as our OC.

Ok, I stand corrected in the amount, but it still doesn't change the fact that he is making well enough to make sure that stuff doesn't happen. Plus, with bonus contention it is possible he makes over a million a year depending how we finish. I was hoping the point wasn't the income he makes, yet his job of running the offense.

I got the point you were making, figured you'd want the actual numbers he's getting paid so you don't keep grossly exaggerating his pay. Saying his is making millions (plural) per year would make him the highest paid OC by a long shot. And there are several OC's making 7 figures...ours isn't one of them.

Excuse me, his contract is worth millions. Is that better so I'm not "grossly exagerating"? Not like I was attempting to lie to make my point sound better. Just saying he makes more than the average person to do a job and falling short of getting a play in on time should take a little flak over it. Either way, he makes more than all of us combined probably.

I haven't said a lot after this loss because I always need a couple of days to digest what I actually witnessed and take some emotion out of the equation. That being said, my instant reaction has been verified by what a couple of others think on this thread. The Drake injury was not a common occurrence that players will ever get used to seeing, especially when it happens to one of their team mates. It really seemed to take the wind out of their proverbial sails. The next play there was a penalty and that drive was, in essence, stopped in its tracks. I don't think the team ever recovered mentally from that injury or the graphic nature of the injury. Combine that with the fact that Drake was a big part of out game plan offensively (that according to CNS), we really seemed flat-footed for the better part of the game.

Bradley Bozeman did as well as one could expect under the circumstances he was brought in as well but it wasn't quite enough. With more repetitions with the 1's this week, he will improve.
