In terms of the Tide, I see four names with two graduating. Now, with one transfer done and another possible...

For the heck of it, I used the search function and found two active players transferring from Tennessee.

The trainwreck of a hoops program that exosts across the state has been turning over half its roster every year.

I keep up with what's going on with their football program. When it comes to rosters on their basketball team I rely on SECSports.com or some such site to see who is doing what.

I know Arkansas is having issues with players transferring as well and that program is similar to ours in the sense of what the coach is going to require from the players. (IE: Malik looking at both schools tells me he probably won't have an issue with a defensive minded approach.)

When this transfer thing reared its head again it prompted me to pay closer attention to how many kids were leaving programs around the nation. Seeing this tweet this morning put a number on it.

Like I questioned...while I haven't made my mind up it seems like it may be much ado about little.

I think a lot of the transfers, at every school not just Alabama, comes from so many of them coming in and expecting to be 1 and done. When that doesn't happen, they want to blame it on the coach. Either for not helping them develope or the system they run. So they go where they think the grass is greener.

Oh, and I wanted to add to my post above that I agree with what Coach CM Newton said on Finebaum once. He said that when the NBA stopped dafting guys straight out of high school, it was one of the worst things for college basketball. Especially since they would draft them after 1 year of college. If it was along the lines of the NFL, it wouldn't be so bad.
