Maybe to show a recruit the scenes? However, they could have taken off VFR and we would not have been able to track it but, they went above 18k' which needs an IFR clearance. So, they took off went up to just south of Chattanooga at 25k' and came home.
Honestly, it was probably a maintenance flight.
