🏈 Tyren Jones surfaces at USCe (UPDATE: didn't qualify)

OK, here's where I'm getting confused.

Jones was a disruption in the locker room, talked down about his experience at Bama to recruits that were visiting Tuscaloosa, and eventually found himself kicked off the team.

Better than the kids on the team now? Wishing him luck?

.I may stand alone here ... but I'm not moving from my stance. The team is better off today without him. I'd venture to state you'll find members of the team with the same attitude.

I think it's more of coming across as us not being a hateful or spiteful fanbase. After all, we do want all of these guys to succeed academically and on the field. Personally I couldn't care less what he's up to, but hope he does eventually find hapiness.

He's not our problem anymore... and he's a kid. I hope and wish he learns from his experiences and mistakes. Thank God I am not the same person I was at 18 and am not judged for the person I was then. Give the kid a break and wish him luck. In the end, it won't be our issues to deal with if he can't find his way.

I agree with the above. He's not our problem anymore and from all that I read about him he was definitely a problem. We won a title without and my guess is we can win another without him as well. Not real concerned about him being a USCe. He's Boom's problem now.

This is just like Kirby at UGA. Why would I want him to have success in Athens? Why should I? Why would I want TJ to succeed on the field of play?

The success of other teams, coaches, and players on the field come at the direct expense of other teams in the SEC. I don't give a rats ass about the other 13 teams, but as a fan of football, why would I want an opponent to have success if it comes at the expense of Alabama football?

I certainly am not of the ilk that wishes him physical harm (IE: hoping he's injured, etc..)

Success in life vs success in collegiate football? Two completely different things.

Well I don't think anyone is wishing him the best game of his life against Alabama and hoping he singly handily destroys us.

And in all honesty, how could you not want Kirby to do well in Athens after all he has done to help us win as much as we have. Does his success not help Coach Saban get noticed and our program not get noticed or bringing in new talent? And this is a situation as well that I don't think anyone in crimson and white hopes he wins an SEC Championship over us, but there's nothing wrong with hoping he does well. Georgia already was a recruiting battle for us, so it's not like he's going to be doing anything we haven't been dealing with before. We're talking a guy that helped get us back to greatness, a big piece of the puzzle, albeit Coach Saban being the biggest piece, but Kirby did his part as well.

I understand success in life and college football are different things, but with most of these athletes they directly correlate as football is their life and their only chance at being successful.

1) He's a Georgia Bulldog now.
2) If he ends up having success, it makes it harder to get players out of GA—for any team.

I don't get what is so hard to understand that a successful Georgia comes at the expense of Alabama and every other team in the SEC. This isn't an "everyone gets a trophy sport," ya know?

Did Jimbo's? If we're looking at an FSU program that isn't doing well, does that not automatically equate to giving other teams an advantage on the recruiting trail?

Richt's recruiting to Smart's recruiting. They aren't in the same league. Richt was lazy on the recruiting trail. Maybe not to the Mack Brown point of being lazy, but certainly to the Tuberville level when he was in his last years at Auburn.

Well I have yet to see a successful Georgia come at any expense to Alabama. I have yet to see any team's success come at the expense of us. Even Ohio State coming and poaching top players from the South hasn't stopped us.

And I said nothing about pulling out the Georgia hat after the Alabama game to root Kirby on. I simply said I wish him well and hope he does well. I also think it's to the point of we can pull players from anywhere in the country that we want to, so I'm not worried about it. McElwain in Florida isn't exactly worrying me either, because this would be exactly the same situation.
