| FTBL Tuscaloosa camping/RV question

Most everything within in close range is booked up. That is withing about 5-10 miles of the stadium. I know a couple of years ago my parents were up here staying in an RV park in Cottondale and they told them that they had to be gone by the end of August. Folks roll in with their RV's and leave them there all season.

There is some Rv info on UA gameday website. They mention free parking behind Brunos on McFarland.

Another website to checkout is Outdoor Alabama They have all the state parks listed and the closest one is up County Rd 21. Lake Lurleen state park is about 20 - 25 miles away. Lake Lurleen will probably be your best bet if they have any openings. If not you will probably need to stay down 82 on the National Forest land which would be the Oakmulgee management area. (they have links to that as well on Outdoor Alabama) I think most of the camping at Oakmulgee is primitive. (no electricity)

One other thing , if you consider going there, you need to call and let them know what type of rv you have as it is a older park and you may not fit in some of the sites and never go to the very bottom end if you have a large rv as it is hard to turn around at the end.
