The Tulane Green Wave football team will practice Monday through Thursday at Samford University's Seibert Stadium in preparation for its Sept. 6 season-opening game at Alabama. Tulane is evacuatĀing its New Orleans campus in advance of the possible Gulf Coast landfall of Hurricane Gustav.

Tulane head coach Bob ToĀledo's team will likely work out in the mornings on SeiĀbert's synthetic turf while Pat Sullivan's Bulldogs practice in the afternoons, working toĀward their home game Sept. 6 against Faulkner University.

Tulane officials have sent other teams to Jackson, Miss., where they will work out at Jackson State University. The school was closed at noon today with classes scheduled to resume on Thursday.

The football team will share Samford's new weight room at the Pete Hanna Center and is
scheduled to eat lunch each day at the campus cafeteria. The team will stay at a local
hotel.
