šŸˆ Tua’s knee problems

looks like your basic knee sprain that hasn't had time/conditions to get right. functions pretty well until you put it under a load in flexion, then you get pain and likely an aftermath of increased swelling after periods of exertion. without knowing specifics, that's what it looks like to me. NOthing better than rest and proper knee friendly activities/rehab for that type of problem. Even when you do it right it can take weeks to feel 100%.... much less when you're putting athletic demands on the knee. ---Functionally, a knee sprain disturbs other normal functions of the nearby structures like the hamstring and calf musculature. tendency to cramp increases. Sprinting looks/feels awkward as was evidenced on his run in the last game.

The shot he took to the thigh could have been disastrous if his foot was planted but since it came out from under him, he fared better. thigh pain i'm sure, but shouldn't have affected a PCL sprain much.

The OL, along with the rest of the offense, definitely had an off day. It's almost impossible to have your A-game every week. I just hate that it was probably against the best front line in the SEC. I personally don't want to see Tua vs the Citadel this week. If Jalen can go, turn him loose and let's get ready for the barners.

With respect I don't get the turn #2 loose....the best thing 2 goes is run the ball and with his injury the chances of that are slim to none that he would be effective. JMO but I don't think #2 will ready to really play until the Bowl game.

I thought that last shot to Tua's knee looked a little borderline cheapshot. Looked like he clearly was trying to hit the knee with his helmet.

Went out of his way to simply go around the waist.

Predict the Barn to do a lot of that.

Give Tua the day off or at worst, give him 3-4 series then move staight on to Mac. I'd rather see Mac get the start and go the distance and just tell our RBs to get ready to pad some stats. Rest Tua and Jalen if at all possible and just hope to get out injury free.

Don't need # 2 nor #13 to beat the Citadel. Need them rested and well for the last four games. Give #10 all the reps in practice and give him the ball Saturday.

Jalan has played a lot of football for us this year. His passing percentage is up and for good reason. Our OL has protected the QB much better than the previous year and I haven't seen Jalen take a one-second glance at the receivers consistently and start hauling the mail this year. He has protection in the pocket and has been throwing much better. He doesn't need to run, he needs to keep setting his feet, step up in the pocket and find his guys.

Pure speculation on my part, but if I had to take a guess from my living room couch, I would say his meniscus. The fact that he can run/play and seem fine somewhat, then jump and land wrong on it and hurt it, makes me thing something like a meniscal tear. If it is indeed the meniscus, they will probably scope it on Sunday, Dec 2. Clean it up and let him heal up in prep for the bowl game.

If it is a sprain, stay off of it and rest it, and get ready for the bowl game.
