🏈 Tua wanted to transfer

I think it all boils down to what Jalen wants to do post college. If he wants to be a coach or go into his field of study, then he should probably transfer(either during this offseason or after next season, when he will be a grad transfer) to be a college QB elsewhere. If he wants to play in the NFL, stay, learn another position, he has the strength and athleticism to be a RB, slot WR, LB or S.

LB or safety? Good grief.

You don't think he is strong enough or athletic enough? Both of those positions pay better than a scout team QB, which is the best he could hope for at the next level. He has the athleticism, brains and strength to excel at another position. He would be fine at most colleges, if all he ever wants to do is play QB.

If he was my son....I would look for a good fit for his skills at a new gig (already should have done) and work with Nick to get approval for the landing spot. Sit out 2018 and still have two full years to play at the new gig. JMO but playing in a offense where the primary receiver is a bit more predetermined when you break the huddle would be helpful for #2. He has maxed out as a QB in Nick's system(exception of his running skills).

No, I dont think a kid that has been playing only QB since he was in pee-wee can transition to freaking linebacker. Slot receiver and running back are one thing but linebacker and safety, especially at the SEC level, is a completely different animal.

He is plenty smart enough to learn the basics and has the physical traits needed. Give him two years to hone those skills, so he can use them at the next level. For his benefit, LB or S are much more in demand at the next level than RB and slot WR. The shelf life of those last two are not very high.

There is a player from Iowa State that played QB, then switched to LB and then played both ways in an upset of Oklahoma last season. Pretty good athlete to do that at that level. Not saying Jalen could or would, just paying homage to the guy's versatility.
