šŸˆ Tua not playing vs LSU guarantees UA a Playoff Spot

I know this - A loss with Tua is much more likely to knock us out than a loss without.

I also know that we've struggled heading into that Championship game undefeated.

Just some silver lining if Mac does have to play... Not the end of the world if we were to lose that game. Although we will all undoubtably meltdown accordingly šŸ˜‚

We're melting down already.

We're melting down already.

A portion of the fan base has been in meltdown since the 3rd quarter of the clemson beating

UA fan base in some ways reflects the political spectrum in the country today. We have a group of rabid sunshine pumpers that see nothing but large clouds of Crimson floating over everything and we have a group of rabidly negative Nellies on the other end of that spectrum. In the middle you have some folks who still just enjoy watching a football game

Still better than the Shula-era discussion board environment.

Thats funny. I think our d bk field is a strength. So respectfully disagree
Just haven't pressured QBs like we need and inexperience at ILB .... which helps DB with under neith coverage...has hurt....

Bingo. DB's in 2019 are only as good as the pass rush. It's impossible to cover talented WR's when you can't touch them.

Super important to get a pass rush for 4 quarters. That means sub early & often. Hall & Jennings need to play to their potential. Let Barrimore loose... RTR!

And the whole thing about Tua and not playing is ridiculous .... some say" hold him out".
Absolutely ridiculous. This is a team. Not one player. Florida went with a backup. AU has a true freshman We play who can go and let the chips fall where they may! Can our backup QB win vs lsu? Who knows. But has same supporting cast. He missed some lomg throws vs Arkansas. But Tua has missed some also. Ridiculous!!!!!

The opposing team will always complete passes. My biggest issue is that our DBs are so focused on stripping the ball, that the ball carrier keeps moving forward. Stop the ball carrier first (stop forward movement). Then focus on the strip.

Nothing guaranteed!! With the record of our opponents that we have already played more or less flopping, we aren’t going to get any breaks or be given the benefit of the doubt.

I haven't seen anyone say "hold him out".

From my own perspective - Just simply pointing out the difference in potential outcomes depending on who QB's the team

I didn't read the original article that I saw quoted in one of the Louisiana papers this morning ... I do know it was written by the famed "Bama is better without Colin Sexton" Joseph Goodman. I believe the phrase he used was "unnecessary" for Bama to play Tua. It was another of his trolling bits in my view (said without reading.)

The article was published a few hours before your original post...hell, thought for a moment you might be taking his idea and wanted to see how it would fly amongst the Bama fans here.

Nooooooooooo man! In fact I was wondering who on the WJOX morning show is a member of the forum, as they discussed this scenario this morning. But props to the Louisiana writer he sounds like a gem!

The OU loss got a lot of people thinking though... For my sake it was - "How could this benefit us?!"

Alabama will be without its starting tight end through at least the regular season and SEC championship game.
Nick Saban confirmed Wednesday that Miller Forristall suffered a throat/voice box injury against Arkansas on Saturday and said the redshirt junior is expected to miss about six weeks.
ā€œHe got hit in the throat in the game,ā€ Saban said. ā€œSaid he was OK. Docs looked at him. He went back in the game and played. Didn’t think it was really a serious injury but had some discomfort after that so we sort of further examined him. And he does have an injury to his voice box that required surgery that will keep him out probably for six weeks or so because this is an area where you’re talking about affecting your breathing and affecting your voice. That’s pretty important to make sure we take care of the right way. So that’s his status.ā€

keep in mind if Tua didn't play and we lost a very very close game to LSU, Then we killed Auburn, If LSU went on to Kill UGA or Florida by a huge margin. I would think we would be at the top of the one loss teams having played a close game, only lost by a hair to the number 1# team and the number one team went on to destroy since then. I say we are in. However I feel very good about both the LSU and the Auburn games. We are Peaking at just the right time.
