šŸˆ Tua named SEC OPOW/ Buggs named SEC Co- DLOW

One thing Tua has....his line is giving him a nice pocket....his receivers are catching what’s thrown at or near them....
Well, plus a lot of talent...
Its a pleasure to watch....
O, and people aren’t forgetting the second half of NC game

Is it really possible for an offensive line to pass protect well and then be a dynamic, power, run blocking line too? It's difficult. I think that's the compromise of one or the other. Our O-line is good and they're figuring out what it takes to pick up blitzes and give Tua time in the pocket. I also think Jalen looks better in the pocket, but he ain't running for his life after 2 seconds in the pocket either. I think we can run some, but I'm not looking for 2012 good.

They are right on track for matching 2012's numbers as a whole. There's less than 10 yards total difference ('18 leads,) and the carries are separated by less than 10 as well ('12 had more,) and this years team is averaging more per carry--but not a lot more.

I'm seeing people look at the 109 yards versus A&M as a blight while referring to the '12 line all the while forgetting Bama had fewer rushing yards against W. Kentucky in '12 than it did A&M in '18.

It's a bit of an overreaction now as I'm seeing this play out.

Don't get me wrong--the blocking from G to G hasn't been ideal and my gut tells me that's the loss of Matt at RT as much as anything.

Hard to say how the numbers finally play out. The hurry-up, spread concept, RPO, schedule, who knows. I was going for something more specific with Tua. The power run and running to set up the pass is a different philosophy in scheme. It requires a different mindset for the OL. Overall, our run-first team of 2012 could get the ball to Amari and others through the air. But in the red zone, ball control, short yardage, the 2012 OL wanted to hammer and mash you. Feels like this OL will be a pass-first and run-second group. So far, ball control, red zone, even short yardage looks and feels different to me.

I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea, this team is not anything like a Mark Richt coached team, but philosophy wise we are more patterned offensively like 2012 Georgia than Bama.
