🏈 Tua, Jalen or both?

I'm with Josey Wales on Tua and Jalen being out there at the same time.

I think that both of them being out there is more like when Kiffen was running all those jet sweeps. You're setting up for something later by giving a certain look now.

One thing I would love to see us do, (and I don't make 8 million a year to make these calls). When we get down inside the 10, I feel like Locks gets cute and we throw too much. We have the horses to punch it in. I wish we would put Jalen in at QB and have Najee at FB with Jacobs and Harris behind in either the I formation or a wishbone. I think this would wreak havoc on defenses when we get down inside the 5.

I would rather see Jacobs in the Wildcat. Probably would have 500 yards rushing and 6-8 TDs against that sorry ass defense. Keep the ball 44:41 like Army did. Murray ain't gonna do sh!t with 15:19 against Bama's defense. He would get less than the 21 points he got against Army.

THIS. RIGHT. HERE.

How epic would it be to have our offense run wildcat all down their throat all game long? Then bring Tua out in the 4th quarter to pile on a gassed defense.

My only reservation is that Bama offense might not be able to stay on the field. OU defense could not get Army offense off the field. Bama offense might score as quickly running the ball as they would passing the ball. :)

I don't believe Tua will be ready/healed. I said the same thing about Jalen weeks in a advance and was right. We may see Tua as decoy in a few run plays but I believe Jalen will carry this game as Tua's ankle wont be ready for him to be a dual threat.
No. You didn't. You said he won't be ready until the playoffs and that was dead wrong.

Sooooooo..... you guys told me I was crazy and wrong when I said Jalen would not be able to play in the LSU game. My original post that was edited said he probably would not be ready possibly till playoffs......You guys believe me now? He couldn't even hardly walk much less run. I would be shocked if he was even ready for Auburn. If Tua gets hurt we could be in big trouble.

:ROFLMAO:

@BamaBoyJosh, He did mention he'd heard that he might be out for LSU. He's right about his post title being edited as well. He did say that he would possibly be out until the playoffs. However, there wasn't any mention of that being a possibility in the article he quoted.

It isn't a huge deal and certainly nothing to get panties in a wad about. There is something to be said about reading an article that says he had surgery for a sprain and then posting an article saying "he may be out until the playoffs" when there was nothing to base that on especially in the article he posted.

The reality is there are forums where his original thread would have been deleted because it was a misleading thread title. Here we have a case where he was edited and the title was corrected. I don't know about you but I prefer accuracy over speculation. In this case, a horrible guess.

Saw this posted on The Rant regarding Jalen........hope it is true.
Last night a person who is one to know said "it's a rumor." Travis Reier posted he'd heard the same thing but I've been told he was called out on the story and it's been refuted.

From what I've been able to gather it started with Stephen M. Smith. I can't speak for him. I don't know him. The only opinion I have of him isn't that good (and it's not based entirely on what he's "broken" in the past.) He's now portraying himself as a "coach" on his Twitter account and that couldn't be further from the truth (unless he's coaching a kids league team.) He's been writing for TDA for a few years now and that means he's associated, directly, with Larry Burton. Burton has been known to blatantly make things up.

He's becoming known as a clickbait guy. He routinely takes things out of context or just flat out speculates in headlines and then when you read the story the information from the headline is nowhere to be found. Every time I see a retweet of something he wrote I roll my eyes.

And as a personal note, I dont like him so maybe I'm biased.

You can bet that Tua's ankle is still not 100% well, is still weak and can be easily re - injured.

You need to keep doubling down and if the worst happens you can throw yourself a parade.
I hope Tua can play without any injury for as long as CNS needs him to, 2 1/2 maybe 3 quarters? I was never a serious player but have experience with a bad ankle. It took mine a long time to fully heal as I was very active. Either way, If Tua plays with or without injury to his ankle, there will be no parade for me.

About a week after the procedure there was word he was progressing, quickly. I thought that seemed quick, but had to weigh it against how little I know about his ankle injury. No two are alike just like the recovery time for people are never the same. If he's moving this well in foot drills today how well will he be moving a week and a half from now? I'm thinking it will be the healthiest we've seen Tua since mid-season.

Was yours a high ankle sprain? I'm sure yours was probably before orthos innovated the "tightrope" procedure, which drastically improves healing time...
