Can someone just be blunt and tell me what happened? I mean, I'm worried (personal, not even football wise) about the guy when they say it was serious, even when they say he'll make a full recovery. Was his life threatened at any moment and is he in the clear for sure?

I don't know all the details, but I don't think his life was ever in danger. I don't think his career is in danger, but he won't play again this season. Saban said today he's at UAB and is expected to make a full recovery.

I just noticed that there's no cast/bandage/wrap on the foot/ankle area and his knee is bent too far for it to be a knee injury. That leads to upper leg, hip or pelvis area like @TerryP said.

I'd bet it's covering a device to stimulate healing. I don't believe videos like this, which remain on the 'net, are spontaneous in its truest sense.

It is a shame for this kid. He was starting to show signs of his 5 star ranking. He is a very fluid runner but he could have used this year to gain experience. It would have helped him hone his skills to enable him to be the #1 RB next year. In the end you expect talent to win out so hopefully these are just setbacks that make his future success that much more meaningful to him.

I was wondering the same, because people are saying we are deep, but once we lose 98% of our production, we won't be looking as stacked. We have talent, but all unproven. Hopefully Bryce can help take some of the load off with his scrambling ability, or even if Mac comes back we can use the air to help us still.
