šŸˆ Trevor Knight & TJ Barrett: Truer words haven't been spoken

C'mon man, really?!

If a guy is playing, injuries aren't in the conversation. Any type of excuses go out the window the minute guys get between the lines.

Ohio State kicked our ass. Way too many mistakes on both sides of the ball... But that was a really good team.

It's a new year though, hopefully we get another shot at em.
When a guy like Yeldon is out there playing on one good leg and your linebackers and others on defense are at half speed, it makes a difference. When you play cupcakes and can give off weeks to your best players, it makes a big difference at the end of a season.

Weeeaaaak. No excuses for getting your ass whipped in a playoff game when both teams have weeks to prepare. Besides, we got the deepest most talented roster in the country. They out played us.

Based on recruiting that I follow pretty closely and formed my own opinion... That happens to line up with the 4 other services who've graded the last 4 recruiting classes. TIFWIW.

Would you have traded rosters with anyone in the country going into last year?
Look at the number of four and five star kids in Columbus. Very little difference

Agree they have talent. In fact, some of their best players are guys we went down to the wire with... Bosa, Bell, R. McMillon, A. Washington, etc.

However, before that game, had I asked you or any Bama fan which roster was better... I'm pretty sure all answers would have been the same... You can guess who.

And to whoever says we didn't get our ass kicked... OK it wasn't an ass whipping, just an embarrassing way go lose for a team that prides itself on not giving up yards on the ground.

If y'all want to sit here and make excuses for why we lost, I think that's a soft/sorry ass way to go out. Take it like a man and get the next one. You would be clowning the same fan bases Bama beats for making excuses... So let's keep it real. They beat us fair in square, and they had the better team last year. It is what it is.

I hate Urban Meyer more than anyone in sports. It kills me to say all this. But it's the truth

They did beat Bama fair and square. Straight up and I have never made an excuse about it.

You play the hand you are dealt. You ain't gonna give the money back if you pull 2 aces so don't cry when you pull a 4 and a 9.

I don't disagree but I hate that they can have healthier and fresher players when it comes time to play those two better teams in the playoffs.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

This is the key to the whole shebang. Cryer tiptoes to the post season with relatively fresh players and other conferences (namely the SEC) are sucking wind after surviving brutal schedules. I said it before but here it is again: Cryer left the SEC for this very reason.

We lost by a touchdown to OSU.. .....If that's a ass whooping I should stop watching football. The last time I would say we got "whooped" was against Utah....Every other game that we've lost we were in position to either win or tie at the end.

Fair enough. I just equate the 280 yards given up on the ground to a hypothetical ass kicking... Kind of like we gave UGA at the SECCG.

I will strike ass kicking knockout from the record, and reclassify it as a loss by submission via ground and pound.

Sorry my post wasn't an argument. ....I keep hearing about how a certain team "beat Bamas ass" ......but all but one that I can recall since Saban has been here , we we were in position at the end to either win or tie. The Oklahoma game was two scores because of the late sack fumble score......

About two weeks before the game we had a discussion here about the talent on both teams. With the help of an OSU fan I know we started comparing recruiting classes and I realized how close the two teams were. I posted a thread here cautioning people not to underestimate the Buckeyes.

Don't get me wrong. I thought Bama would win that game. I still think they should have ...

...but, I'm not one to make excuses for a loss, blame referees, etc. They won they game by outplaying the Tide. Fair and Square? There's an argument to be made there but before people start pointing towards schedules let's all remember Bama has had some fairly easy roads in the past compared to some other SEC teams.

I'm curious, how is someone planning to argue that OSU did NOT win that game fair and square? Are there some cheating allegations that haven't been made public?

Schedule strength. OSU played two teams in the regular season (including conference championship) that were ranked. Bama, on the other hand, played six.

Agree on that. But they won the game fair and square. That cannot be argued using much ration. On the field they beat us. Agree that they had less bumps and bruises, or opportunity for bumps and bruises. Lol But they also lost 2 QBs in the pansy regular season (and preseason) as well. So those losses are bigger than any 1 or 2 player losses we had. But they still won the game and I don't think there was anything unfair about the game or how they won it.

Not a argument towards your statement. ...just a quick question I wonder if any paid attention to. ......against OSU on Elliots long TD how many guys did we have out on that particular play.
