šŸˆ Trevor Knight & TJ Barrett: Truer words haven't been spoken

I like Herbstreit, I really do. I have thought he always did a good job of suppressing his love for his school but last night he was giddy. With this shameful schedule, why not?

When the VT QB went down in the 3rd quarter, Herb knew that assured the Buckeyes a minimum 11-win season.

I don't know about all that captain stuff, but I sure liked what I saw from him on the sidelines yesterday. Then he got his chance, went in an tore it up. Good team player right there... Just a shame he's playing for that scumbag.

That schedule is an absolute embarassment. ABSOLUTE EMBARASSMENT!! And then some moron "analyst" gets on tv and complains about Alabama or some other SEC team playing a dinky out of conference game or two. Give me a break.

As stated above, the schedule is so ridiculous that it doesn't matter who is the QB. Also, we saw Barrett's attitude last night. That's the kind of guy you want on your team, and he's going to do his job and keep his head down all year. Does anyone think Jones wouldn't have turned the season into a sideshow if Barrett had been named starter? He's got loads of ability but he comes across as very immature.

How do you keep 3 QB's happy and keep them from transferring? You are good with whoever you name your starter, make the other a team captain and convince the other that he can be used in a "better role" for the team. Urban is no dumb ass. He knows how to play the political game well.

Remember that when Ohio State wins two in a row and is going for 3.
No matter how weak that regular season schedule looks, they will have to beat two very good teams to win it all. The B1g is a very top heavy conference, which is not their doing. You could make the same criticism of the ACC in recent years. That kind of stuff comes and goes. This year we get good marks for having UT and UGA on our schedule, since UT is ranked. Just a little ways back we were getting criticized for UT and Florida in the same season.

Personally I like the idea of playing nine conference games in all the Power 5 conferences. That would level out the playing field somewhat.

I don't disagree but I hate that they can have healthier and fresher players when it comes time to play those two better teams in the playoffs. You know that we had several guys playing with injuries in that playoff game with Ohio State which came from the beating they took during the tough SEC schedule. The good thing is how much better it feels to win it all after playing a tougher schedule. Just wish Alabama didn't have to beat 10 tough teams to get there and Ohio State only has to beat 1-2.

I don't disagree with your post at all, but we had that playoff game in the bag. We took our foot off of the gas and basically gave them the game.

C'mon man, really?!

If a guy is playing, injuries aren't in the conversation. Any type of excuses go out the window the minute guys get between the lines.

Ohio State kicked our ass. Way too many mistakes on both sides of the ball... But that was a really good team.

It's a new year though, hopefully we get another shot at em.
