Trent Richardson

The Indy fans fail to remember that Trent was brought in the middle of the week with a game that Saturday. He was still learning the offense, trying to move, etc during the rest of the season. Hopefully with a full off season with the Colts, Trent will feel more comfortable with their offense. Labeling him a bust this early is a bit ridiculous.

If it all works out, I really like Trent at Indy and Lacy with the Packers. Now if Ingram can either be more involved with the Saint's O or move to team where he can be used then this will be a fun NFL season to watch!

Ingram caught on last year near the end of the season. He's playing with a new mindset and running much harder now playing for a new contract or playing to impress other big name teams next year for free agency (likely to happen). I don't know what's going on with Trent, but he does not even look the same. Even when he was at Cleveland, he would at least make a few impressive runs a game. Indy's run blocking was pretty bad, but Donald Brown found a way to still have an impact. Hell Bradshaw had more total yards than Trent last year, and Trent played in more games. Trent just hasn't had the same kind of vision, power, or the same kind of burst he had here at UA. I'm hoping it gets fixed cause he has such amazing talent, but he was awful last year.

Trent has admitted to "thinking" more than reacting. We all know he has the capability to run the rock. Hopefully this year we will see the Trent we all remember.

Ingram did catch on last year and started running more with a purpose. The Saints did not pick up the 5th year, so I see Ingram running with a chip on his shoulder.

Can't wait for football season!

The article did a great job highlighting why some of Trent's three yard runs were purely individual efforts. When you're having to jump cut to miss defenders in the backfield, any advantage is lost. I expect Trent will have a better year this year.

I would like to have seen Darby run behind our 2011 or 2012 lines instead of the backfield adjustments of his day. Despite all of the backfield dodging required of a swinging gate line, he still averaged over five yards a carry and remains in the top five in career rushing.

Tim
