i find it very amusing that everyone is trash talking bama over the internet except the fan bases of VT, FIU, NT, Ark, and KU.. well, we get some good coments from florida's fans from time to time. i think they like the challenge we offer them in the sec..

auburn fans are REALLY starting to get on my last nerve... especially after they dismantled UT by a whopping 4 pts and 49 yards.. i will be suprised if UT doesn't terminate thier football program after that beatdown..

i usually root for instate teams and conference teams, but it is on this year.. i guess this the price of sucess.. i never realized how hated alabama was by the rest of the college football world..

no, they are all talking trash to some degree....just like bama fans are talking trash too.

I hope the auburn fans go back into the whole they crawled outta 7 years ago personally, never seen so many damn auburn fans in alabama in my life - but of course I don't live there, but when I visit, there seem to be more than I remember, but then again, I left in 93 (we all know where they were during those years)...haven't lived anywhere close sense.

side note....
I did run into a Auburn fan yesterday at a music/arts festival in the town I live in north of Dallas - population 7100. I promptly walked up and said, Roll Tide, and she replied War Eagle. Later that day, I was at my kids soccer game with some Bama gear on and someone said, Roll Tide. As far as I know, there are 4-5 bama families here in town that I see regularly.

Lucky me, my three closest friends are two Auburn fans and a Florida State fan. One of the Auburn friends is alright and I can talk football with without him pulling out the orange and blue glasses. The other two...act like they know what they're talking about, but are blithering idiots when it comes to football. The FSU fan actually said to me last night "I'd be getting scared about playing Auburn." When pointing out that I'm not sold on them based on their wins...he actually said to me "I don't know, Crompton's pretty good...I like him. Besides, Alabama hasn't played anyone either."

Where do you live? It ain't Plano if it's only 7100. I'm thinking maybe Murphy or Parker?

it's getting very hard/annoying to talk to any au fans. especially since they beat tenn and "Stole" Sanders from us. Most don't think we have played anyone yet....When i mention VT it's like a little kid who sticks his fingers in his ears and says i cant hear you.....heres hoping Arky whips em

Just tell the boogs Craig is going to be the next Leo Jolly (Ariton's last phenom). When they say "who?" say "exactly."

Ain't it nice to be told that we're not as good as we might think, or that we've been lucky, or whatever else they might say? Just a few years ago, they didn't care about Bama. We were a non-entity. Now, we're back, or so close to it that it scares hell out of 'em.

the only fans that are bothering me with their smack talking is the ones i actually have to see because they're so close is the Auburn fans. i have to see a few of those jerks on a daily basis and they have gotten more and more cocky as the season as gone on and the smack talk has escalated with the 'overrated' talk and how underrated they are. all i gotta say is enjoy the wins that you got, take a look at the teams you've beaten, and then fall back in line where you belong. (talkin bout Barner fans)

Guys

We cannot worry about how good or over ranked the Barn might be. Like Saban says, we take care of our business first. I know it is hard to keep your mind focused on Bama and to try to ingnore what is going on down on the plains, but they are going to stumble somewhere along the way. They won't be the team that is in our way to get back to the ATL, if anything it will be ourselves!

I told ya' Auburn needed to go down. :frown:

Just hope that it doesn't come down to two undefeated teams at the Iron Bowl in Auburn. Some fans are talking 1989 all over again. While I know AU wasn't undefeated that year Alabama was. And we all know what happened that day.

I just do not see it playing out that way. Different team, coach, mentality. I never like to compare games unless it is year to year. Aubrun will have more than 1 loss when AU and UA meet.

Why do we always look ahead. We know that Aubrun is there. I do not give that game a second thought till I come on here and see people talking about it. :headscratch:

One week at a time. This is Ole Miss week not Aubrun. Let their fans talk, it is all they have right now.

Do not take it the wrong way.I live amongst them here and have learned to ignore them(as hard as it is sometimes). Most of the trash talkers know very little about football.

Delta I think you worry enough for the all of us.;)

Oh no, I'm not worried about Auburn yet. My parents still live in Opelika and said some Auburn fans made comments about it being another 1989 for them. I don't usually think that way back to the past. I've put that game to bed long ago.

Yes, you know I'm too nervous about Ole Miss right now. Each week I think I'll magically get over my nervousness with Alabama football. I'm still waiting. I have a huge big picture on life outside of 3-4 hours on Sat. I know, I'm just not right.:no-no:

I suppose they have reason to be happy over on the plains. Honestly they're probably more shocked then anything. Then again they were 4-0 last year when the melt down begin! I honestly can't see them going undefeated this season. I think Arkansas ends their little run this weekend.

Not too much smack talk going on over here in Ga. Or at least the area I'm in. It's 80% Dawg fans, 10% jacket fans then all the rest. Of course I have 3 Aubs that live in my neighborhood. Out of the 3 two of them seem somewhat realistic about their chances. Then there's that one that actually thinks they're gonna win a NC this season...:lance:

I could care less, we'll deal with them when the time comes whether they're undefeated or they're carrying a couple of defeats. :a: RTR!
