šŸˆ Trap games in 2014 for Alabama and Auburn? Here are a few for you to chew on

Trap games are always a topic of discussion during the offseason.

You know those games your team is supposed to win but because of any number of factors could fall in an upset.

So which games are potential trap games for Alabama and Auburn in the upcoming season?

A couple of web sites took a stab at designating a few as such.

ALABAMA

Despite being outscored 167-39 over the past four years, Tennessee has the potential to be trouble for Alabama, according to one site.

Per the Bleacher Report:

"Tennessee head coach Butch Jones has stockpiled plenty of talent at the skill positions on offense. If the Vols can get consistent quarterback play, they absolutely have the ability to jump on opponents early.

"The Crimson Tide certainly have the ability to dig themselves out of a hole, but doing so on the road in a hostile environment wouldn't exactly be the ideal situation."

The game with the Vols (Oct. 25) comes on the heels of back-to-back-to-back games with SEC West opponents Ole Miss, Arkansas and Texas A&M and is followed by an open date, then a trip to LSU.

Meanwhile, SouthernPigskin.com warns of the game at Arkansas (Oct. 11), despite the Hogs having suffered back-to-back 52-0 defeats to the Tide.

Arkansas gets two weeks to prepare, while the Tide will be in the midst of its second straight road game.

Arkansas? No. Tennessee could possibly be a trap, really like what Butch Jones is doing at UT. I really think West Virginia should be up there. Not because of WVU, because of the questions Alabama has going into that game.

Build on this a bit, will ya? In this sense: What question marks do you see at Bama and WVU isn't trying to find an answer for as well?

QB? Both new. OL? WVU replacing three starters—both tackles and their center.

I'm contemplating going to the Arkansas game again this year. Based on the scheduling, I could see how Arkansas could be that way.

Really cool area of the country...probably because there are hills and trees unlike here around Dallas ;)

Bama's defense is going to dismantle all of those teams. The teams we will have a tough time with are teams that have established effective offenses as i don't see us being terribly efficient at scoring points and we are struggling in the kicking game so a squeaker is not our best scenario.

I don't get where people are getting this notion.

I expect us to beat WVU easily, but this game will be an early test of how well we will handle the various HUNH offenses we play. We hav emphasized speed on defense in the last two classes especially.

Agreed, especially with an offensive-minded team like WVU. And after that, we have 2 warm up games at home to settle in and get on track if things are "off".
