I could somewhat argue the point that LSUās defense has improved. The Stats may have improved, but has the product on the field? LSU has struggled to stop the run this year. Those stats improved because they gave up just 96 yards to Furman (who is Furman) and 111 to Florida. Florida hasnāt run on anyone the past four weeks managing just 96 yards against Mizzou and 115 against Arkansas who has the SECās worst defense. Meanwhile, the two teams from Mississippi ran wild on the Tigers, Ole Miss rushing for 176 and Miss St for 216. I could argue that LSUās defense has not improved, it is simply the quality of rushing attack they have faced has diminished. From what Iāve seen watching their last few games on Youtube, Alabama should have a lot of success running the ball against LSU.
