šŸˆ TOUCHDOWN ALABAMA MAGAZINE: Why Alabama Runs Such a Simple Offense

Good stuff, I would say we have a bit more complexity than people would like to give credit. But people that try to suggest its a bad thing that you can run over a team for 300 yards rushing is hilarious to me.

Saban almost thinks of the offense as a way domination of will.... He has said before that a quick scoring drive or a bomb is fine, but a long march down down the field just grinds down the defense AND keeps their offense on the bench. He's also said the a great Tide offense limits the "opportunities" that an opposing offense will get. While he's hinted that this year's team will "open things up" a little more with the passing game, I think at heart he loves a good old fashioned punishing offense just like he loves a good old fashioned punishing defense... Great read. What I would kill to see us get in the jumbo package with Fowler, Yeldon, Henry, and Volger in the back field, Amari Cooper and Knorwood out at WR. I just want to see the reaction of the defense.

With Fowler back this year, I expect a lot of looks out of the I. Was working beautifully against Michigan and early on against WKU until the injury.

CNS just knows that the most demoralizing thing you can do to a Defense is to grind them into the dust. There is not much anybody can do when everyone has a great idea where the ball is going but you can't do much to stop it & to know after the play your gonna have to do it all over again... I think that is the core of what CNS meant about wanting teams to hate playing 'Bama.
