🏈 Tony Brown suspension is over, Nick Saban says

A few days ago, Nick Saban said he couldn't reveal the verdict of the appeal to the NCAA's suspension of Tony Brown.

That changed Monday.

The Alabama defensive back will be back Saturday against Kentucky after missing the first four games of the 2016 season. The suspension officially ended with Saturday's game with Kent State.

"Right now, Tony has to work on developing trust in his teammates and the coaches," Saban said. "He certainly has the ability to play. He's been an outstanding special teams player for us so I think that's the first thing you'll see."

From there, they'll try to work him back into the defense. Brown's played both cornerback and Star.

"And see if he can contribute in any way to make us stronger," Saban said. "I know it's going to add a little depth in an area where we don't have a lot of depth, so that'll definitely be helpful. I also think it will create some competition with some of the other players that may be helpful as well."

The former five-star recruit started two games as a freshman before settling into a backup role as a sophomore.

Reserve defensive lineman Johnny Dwight will also be back from suspension this week.
