🏈 Tomlinson Done for the Year

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Alabama redshirt freshman defensive end Dalvin Tomlinson is out for a season after undergoing knee surgery, coach Nick Saban said Monday.
Tomlinson, a McDonough, Ga., native injured the knee during Wednesday's practice and underwent surgery Friday.
Tomlinson played a number of snaps in Alabama's season-opening win against Virginia Tech and finished with four tackles.
This is Tomlinson's second serious knee injury. Shortly before he enrolled at Alabama in 2012, Tomlinson suffered a similar injury during a high school soccer game.
Throughout the 2012 season, Saban repeatedly said that Tomlinson likely would have played as a true freshman if it weren't for the injury.

If there is a thin silver lining to this...atleast it happened at the beginning of the season. He should be back in time for a full season next year.

Tomlinson plays on the end mostly, behind Pagan. Looks like one (or both) of the freshmen (Allen and Robinson) are gonna have to step up in the rotation.

That or Fanning can man up and take the role he's waited so long for. He plays with that same kind of anger Jarret Johnson did. Hope he can make it back on the field.
