Tyrone Prothro! He was at The Bevele's Edge (sp?)signing autographs. Dad and I went this morning with our print of "The Catch" and a couple of balls. He signed everything for us and I got a picture with him. After about 30 minutes the crowd thinned out so we went back in to talk with him. He was pretty shy but extremly nice and polite. I asked what he was doing now and he said trying to get into coaching. I asked if there was any interest at Alabama and he said whoever would have him. Dad asked what he was thinking when he made "the catch" and he just said it happened so fast. Dad asked if the other player was saying anything to him and he said no, just trying to get the ref to rule incomplete so I said well, did you think it was complete? and he said well i was just standing there like this (signaling touchdown)! I really hope more people showed up after we left. I really enjoyed finally getting to meet one of mine and Dad's favorite players!

I hate you so much right now.
Tyrone is one of my all time favorite players.
The 1st season he was out after the injury, our whole family wore #4 jersy's for him because he couldn't play. I don't want an Autograph, i just want to tell him thank you for all the memories he left us with. I would hope he get's the oppertunity to work for Coach Saban. The university owes that young man a debt they can never repay. as do we all.

That is awesome. I wanted to go to that. I would love to talk to Prothro. I got to meet George Teague at the galleria Friday night. While he was signing some things for me I asked "So, do you ever get a Christmas card from Lamar Thomas?" That got a good laugh from him.

Afterward, I was so stoked about meeting him, I went out and we got in my wifes car and went home to hang up my new canvas of "The Strip". When we got there we remembered we met at the mall after work and didn't ride together. I had to go back to Hoover Saturday morning and get my car.
