Bama got beat soundly in those. Ole Miss this year and Auburn 13 was a fluke.

Dont know what the psychological influence CNS is trying to create this year by mentioning the excuses for last year loss.

I believe last year's loss to OSU can be attributed used to bad preparation. I think Saban has even admitted this. He tried to prep for 3 teams instead of just OSU and a QB with very little film.

The playoffs are new, and no coach had a grasp on how to best prep the team going into the semifinals.

Our coach is the only one with experience. He has tweaked it, and with 10 days between the semis and the finals, should have plenty of time to prep for Clemson/Okie after a thorough thrashing of Sparty.

They dominated runs between tackles in fourth quarter.

I havent seen Bama physically dominated often but that was it.

Since Utah, we have won 3 NC's and @gc90 is bitching about "excuses made by Saban" after losses in other years which is 100% proof you will never satisfy some in this fan base. This thread is absolutely ridiculous.

I think we had some key turn overs too in the tOSU game (three to be exact) to go with some down field passing issues, which plagued us all year long.

Oklahoma took a QB that had thrown the ball for about 6 completion per game and went to a complete air raid offense. We then turned the ball over 5 times... It's REALLY hard to win any game when you turn the ball over 5 time... just saying.

I think we had several guys check out to the NFL when the Utah game came around... but Utah jump on us for 21 points in the first quarter and we clawed our way back into the game... keep in mind, we turned the ball over 4 times in that game... you see a pattern ?

If we don't turn the ball over, we win almost all the games we have lost in the past 4 or 5 years. Just about everyone of those games comes down to turnovers... I think when you turn the ball over 3 to 5 times in a game, it's a sign of not being focused, so I would agree with Saban.

If you don't think mindset and attitude play a big role when you get to this level of competiton, you're fooling yourself... and if you think UA was focused on Utah or Oklahoma as much as they should have been, you're fooling yourself. Saban made his comments when he was explaining how hard it is to get a team to refocus on the task at hand when your year long goals have been moved out of reach OR players minds start to move forward to the NFL draft and what place they are going to get drafted and how much bank they are about to make...

You mentioned five losses, just about half, that have occurred over the last eight seasons. Eleven losses in eight years. Four losses 2012-14. Florida State, Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon boast best college football records since 2012; rankings 1-128

Despite a 6-7 record in Shula's last year, and a 7-6 record in Saban's first year, Alabama has the third best record over the last ten years.

I'm not sure of the source of your discontent.

Sorry but I like it when we are reminded that other teams can and have beaten us even when we were playing good. Winning is always suspect to just a few inches or a few mistakes. It is what you do when you have to react to a loss. I have seen it happen in life and to people that have it made. Sometimes one loss ruins them forever. BAMA will keep winning because they always play for championships. Once you taste as many national titles as they have you just can't stop.
