šŸˆ Tim Brando takes issue with Nick Saban’s stance on depth chart, accuses coach of bullying

I'm sorry...I didn't realize Tim Brando had any business knowing the BAMA football depth chart. If Coach Saban doesn't want to release a depth chart, then that's HIS business...and no one else's. Why do they need to know the depth chart? Does it help them do their job better? If so, then they're not very good at their job in the first place.

I swear it's like all these sports "reporters" are nothing but a bunch of damn cry-babies when they don't exactly what they want.

He's just making noise and going after his favorite target. On the media, anyone credentialed that follows Bama closely could sit down and make their own depth chart with probably 85% accuracy. The crew doing the games will get a depth chart (with some "or's") when they show up in town and visit with the team. Basically, it's like most everything else these days, someone making a big deal out of nothing.

As someone who definitely benefits from a depth chart, I absolutely understand the media wanting it and I also understand why Saban doesn't like it. It's absolutely helpful but no one is entitled to a depth chart before the game. Also, Brando doesn't cover Alabama, so his outrage is just fake outraged designed to drive clicks and interest in someone who doesn't drive much interest any other way these days.

Someone else tagged him about LSU not releasing a depth chart either and Brando just said "that's not the point." He knows he's full of shit.

Finebaum gave him a voice back in mid 2000’s, had him on regularly. This was before it was common knowledge of his lswho fandom. Never listened to a word he said after his ā€œHouston Nutt is a better coach than Sabanā€ comment circa 2008 or so.

Google’s new AI partner, Bard, has a long way to go before getting dialed in on depth charts… Brando probably wouldn’t know better anyway though, so maybe someone should send it to him.

From Bard:

Alabama has not released an official depth chart for the 2023 season. However, here is a projected depth chart based on media reports and practice observations:

Offense

  • Quarterback: Jalen Milroe, Ty Simpson, Dylan Lonergan
  • Running backs: Jase McClellan, Roydell Williams, Jam Miller, Justice Haynes, Richard Young
  • Wide receivers: Ja'Corey Brooks, Jermaine Burton, Kobe Prentice, Isaiah Bond, Malik Benson, Kendrick Law
  • Tight ends: Robbie Ouzts, CJ Dippre, Amari Niblack, Danny Lewis Jr.
  • Offensive line: Kadyn Proctor, Elijah Pritchett, Tyler Booker, Terrence Ferguson II, Seth McLaughlin, Darrian Dalcourt, Jaeden Roberts, JC Latham, Wilkin Formby
Defense

  • Defensive line: Tim Smith, Jah-Marien Latham, Justin Eboigbe, Damon Payne Jr., Jaheim Oatis, James Smith, Tim Keenan
  • Linebackers: Will Anderson Jr., Henry To'o To'o, Christopher Allen, Dallas Turner, Shane Lee, Deontae Lawson, Keanu Koht
  • Defensive backs: Kool-Aid McKinstry, Earl Little II, Terrion Arnold, Kristian Story, Jake Pope, Caleb Downs, DeVonta Smith, Brayson Hubbard
This is just a projection, and the actual depth chart could change before the season starts. Alabama is always a talented team, and they will have a lot of depth on both sides of the ball in 2023.
