Tiger and Ricky Fowler lead the Fed Ex Cup Tour Championship after day 1 (-5)

We just witnessed the greatest moment in the history of golf. Thousands of people walking the 18th green, all trying to watch the greatest golfer ever make the most improbable comeback in sports history. Years from now, people will see this as a watershed mark in Tiger's career and reputation in society. What a cool day.

That sea of humanity was quite the sight to see.

Bro, you're certainly given to hyperbole when it comes to Tiger. Greatest moment in the history of golf? No, sir. There are still a few instances that rank far higher in the history of golf.

You want one? The shot heard round the world when Sarazen holed out the double-eagle at the Masters on 15. It was that Sunday that put Augusta on the map.

That was one kind and this was another. Unique to Golf and sports in that the fans and sports world revelled in an accomplishment both improbable and so attention-grabbing. You can't define people's sport's heroes, you can't determine when this kind of magic and history is going to happen, but yesterday was that day for me and I personally never saw anything like it.

@TUSKtimes, There's a difference. You're a Tiger fan. That's no big deal and I appreciate your fandom.

Characterizing this win as the greatest moment in golf history should have been written a little differently, right? "It's the greatest moment I've witnessed in golf" fits.

It's a bit ironic this comes up this morning. Another day I'd say rates higher happens to be a Ryder Cup weekend. The Sunday following the Arkansas game in '99 when the USA made its dramatic finish...and here we are headed into Ryder Cup weekend.

Did you get this giddy when New Kids On The Block went back on tour? Best boy band ever, so just curious.

Unless you're under the impression I world for Sports Illustrative, it really shouldn't be a reach. Kinda curious how my hyperbole doesn't get in the way of your comprehension more often.
