Alabama cornerback Kareem Jackson is projected as a first-round pick in Todd McShay's latest mock draft.

McShay has Jackson going 19th to the Atlanta Falcons. Jackson gave up his senior season to enter the NFL draft early.

Overall, McShay has seven players from the SEC going in the first round. Other than Jackson, Florida center Maurkice Pouncey is a new addition at N0. 31 to the Indianapolis Colts.

Tennessee safety Eric Berry will be the highest drafted SEC player, according to McShay. Berry is projected to go seventh overall to the Cleveland Browns. Berry's Tennessee teammate, defensive tackle Dan Williams, also moved up in this mock draft to 18th overall to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Rounding out McShay's SEC first-round selections were Alabama linebacker Rolando McClain 12th to the Miami Dolphins, Florida cornerback Joe Haden 13th to the San Francisco 49ers and Florida defensive end Carlos Dunlap 17th to the Tennessee Titans.

Obvioiusly Kareem and Todd have the same "source". I'd be very surprised.

The dolphins would get the steal of the draft is Ro slips past the #9 spot.

It's always interesting to see the different perspectives of draft "experts". Sporting News has decidedly different take on SEC talent, showing just four conference players getting a first round call: Berry #5 to the Chiefs, Haden #7 Browns, Spikes #15 Giants, and Rolando #18 Steelers. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Id actually be surprised if Rolando slipped past the titans. Not just OLB(Keith Bullock) But pretty much the entire LB corps got replaced before tttthe end of the season. Hes a big talent, and he would help with the run problems they had with mnissed tackles last year. That and the need for a big leader. The OLB deal is just because Bullock is getting old and thats where he plays, but they dont have a star ilb and i think they arrre goingg to resign bullock for a few years.

i agree, i just don't see Ro even falling down to 12th. I never listen to McShay anyways, I think Mel Kiper is more reliable with this sort of stuff.

Kareem to the Falcons would be awesome but lol at Sporting News having Ro at #18, idiots. I dont see Kareem going in the 1st but that would be cool. I think he has potential to be a very solid NFL corner. Javy on the other hand I see turning out being a great steal in the draft because he will be a GREAT Nickel corner for YEARS as well as one of the better return men in the league.

Don't really see why Porter being released would matter. He's an OLB, Ro is a Middle/Inside Linebacker.
