šŸˆ Tide signee Blake Sims planning to delay enrollment this season

The only certain trouble/impact that I see is that he will not be using the scholarship space set aside for him for the fall semester; an effective net loss of 1/2 of 1 year of 1 scholarship. That could grow to eat the second 1/2 of 1 year if he does not graduate at least 1 semester early, thus vacating his spot.

Does it mean that he will struggle academically while at Bama? Maybe, maybe not. Are his current struggles an indication of him or him not overcoming his current academic environment. Generally speaking, a student/athlete's prospects for academic success increase once they get on campus.

I'm not sure if that makes me feel any better or not lol.

I guess its how you frome it. Here's two other angles.

We could easily lost ALL the semesters of Blake Sims to UGA. So would we be batter off with Plan B in the fall and beyond.

Blake's least benefitial semester to the Tide is his first. It is this worst-time that we are losing for this semester. So how high is that cost to a team who is preseason #1?

My point is that we can afford this small investment into Blake.
