The betting line has been released for No. 1-ranked Alabama’s Week 3 home game against the Colorado State Rams. And the Crimson Tide is a considerable betting favorite over the third opponent on its 2017 schedule, according to OddsShark.com.

Alabama opened as a 27-point favorite over Colorado State, per OddsShark.com. But the line has already moved to -27.5 (BetOnline) and -28 (Bovada) in less than 24 hours.

Saturday’s game in Bryant-Denny Stadium will be the second-ever meeting between the two teams. The last time they played was in 2013 when ex-offensive coordinator Jim McElwainwas the head coach of the Rams. The Crimson Tide won that game 31-6.

Colorado State enters next Saturday’s contest with a 2-1 record, having defeated Abilene Christian by a score of 38-10 on Saturday night. Alabama will look to advance to 3-0.

Alabama-Colorado State will kick off at 6 p.m. CT and will air on ESPN2.

I dont think Bama does well in covering the spread most of the time, have to ask our friend @the Bookie to be sure. With that being said, I look for CNS to play a lot of players again this week if and when the team gets a comfortable lead. We as fans, cannot assume that the game will be a blow out although on paper, it should. Play the game, do what we do and get people game reps. Its all about development of quality back ups at this point in time to get ready for the SEC and possible injuries.

CSU has a vet QB that is really accurate in the short game... Not very good on deep balls. Not a strong arm but smart and accurate, a very poor mans Greg McElroy.

They do have an NFL quality receiver that can flat play... Should be a good challenge for the CB's on him. They have a quicker back and a big thumper that are both pretty productive.

Defensively there secondary has been atrocious since McElwain left... Played well against CU but that was a weird game all around.

I think Bama covers this one. CSU has minimal depth on the DL and it will lead to some big chunks for RB's... Plus chasing Jalen around... Long day for them.
