šŸˆ Tide evens series w 2 - 1 win over Gamecocks

Tough situation for the coaching staff. Tied 1-1 in the fifth. One out, man on third. Middle of the order batting. Squeeze? You might eliminate the big inning and with SC's bats that would be bad news.

Not to be an apologist, but they've faced some pretty good pitching. The SEC is a dang good conference. I'm sure it's an area in which the team would like to have a bit more success, but it happens. Bama can play with anyone in the country.

Big day tomorrow. This is the big time in college baseball.

Sorry, talking about stranding runners.

What about the Tide's pitching? Wow!

That's the 23rd game this year our staring pitchers (Justin Kamplain, Jon Keller and Spencer Turnbull) have allowed three runs or less in wins this season.

We'd lost six games with a final score of 2-1 this season; nice to be on the other end.

With Keller suspended we're into the bullpen tomorrow for a starter. Burrows is my guess.

Haney is learning. He botched his positioning twice on plays at the plate in last Saturday's game at ut. A few inches here and there and going to get the ball instead of letting it come to you... he'll learn. He's a player. I don't remember any better snap throw than he has. His motion is sort of reminiscent of Bruce Benedict when he was with the Braves, but I honestly think Haney has a better arm.

That is true seeing how the catcher had to adjust and barely tagged the runner. Still, an excellent play.

OH, no kidding!! Great play!

If you were the 3rd base coach would you think twice about waving the runner on if the same scenario happens today? I would. And it wouldn't be because of the play at the plate. It would be because that throw was off and he still made the play at the plate. I'd think the chances of the throw being off again have to be smaller.

Let's not forget. We've got a lot of underclassmen playing against a lot of upper classmen in this series—and hanging right with them.

@TheChief We're circling around the main reason I'm a collegiate sports fan versus following professional sports: we get to see these kids grow into player—their development.

The softball team is a great example of that this season. Last year, we're pointing to their inability to get those timely hits that put the games away. This year, we're seeing those same ladies who struggled on that stage, succeed.

Although, it was a freshman yesterday...

Gosh, I don't like UGA.

@bamaraider They just took to the field about 30 minutes ago...last time I looked they were just going through normal stretching exercises.

You may be able to find a radio broadcast that is having a pre-game and they'll know/announce.

Got a text from the stadium that said he thought it was Tucker Hawley. It was from a UofSC fan.

FWIW, if true, Tucker is from Aiken, SC. His blood should be pumping today.

Hawley is battling. Crowe for SC lost some velocity that last inning and Bama's back in this thing!!!! 3-3.

The announcers kept crowing about the Cocks early in the game. Made me want to puke.
