🏈 Thursday night football

Very few "duds" this fall.

About the only games I see that won't spark a little interest from me are those two games with Colorado.

South Carolina vs NC State to start the year is far from a marquee game. But, considering the withdrawals I'm sure I'll be locked in to it...the late game that night should be interesting as well.

I've been offered tickets, and will likely made the trip, to Columbia to see Ole Miss take on the Gamecocks. I'm thinking that is going to be a really fun experience.

And I hope the old ball coach gives the nutt a beat down. Sorry just hate all the ole miss pre season love I think he is good for one game a year

Most everyone is saying Ole Miss will lose a game that they shouldn't. If so, I think this is the one.

USCe's QB Stephen Garcia is a talented player. If he gets on a hot streak, and I suspect in this environment he's going to have a good game, it's going to get interesting.

I guess you're gonna root for the Gamecocks Terry.

I agreed with the last posts. I think Ole Miss is gonna lose that game any given saturday, and that in Columbia is likely one.

RTR,

No. Not necessarily. I doubt I'll be able to root for either of the two teams. I'll just enjoy the game and the atmosphere.

Isra, one thing the Gamecocks have in their game day traditions is the "Cock-a-boose" arrangement.

It's a series of old railroad cars lined up just outside the stadium. It can be a little "rough" when Bama is playing there...but, at other times, a nice "tailgating" atmosphere indoors.

Here's a write up on the rail cars...

I see a few games that interest me.

Sept. 3: South Carolina at N.C. State
Mainly to see how SC looks. I also think this game is a key motivator for SC to have a chance against Ole Miss.

Sept. 24: Mississippi at South Carolina
Can never pass up any SEC vs SEC match up...

Nov. 5: Virginia Tech at East Carolina
ECU has 18 starters returning, and the roster features large junior and senior classes. They could possible pull another upset if Taylor has not improved enough by then.

Dec. 3: Oregon State at Oregon
Civil War, and it may just be one. Both teams should be pretty good(for PAC-10:lol: jk) It's also the 7th oldest rivalry in the US.
