I hope we do beat Miss State. But let me see how Bama's record is against Auburn's toughest games this year: Auburn beat SC by what, 4 points? We lost by 14. Auburn beat LSU by 7, right? We lost by 3. Auburn blew up Arkansas to the tune of 60+ points? We won, but barely, by 4.

I'm not feeling great about it. But it's a game Alabama ought to win.

Exiled, let's be fair to your boys. USCjr played their best game under Spurrier yet in order to beat you guys. LSU--I don't know what to say about that one. Miles and Crowton called a hell of a game, hostile site, etc. Keep in mind LSU came to Auburn. The way our stadium has been that fact cannot be overlooked. And as for Arkansas they damn-near beat us. Sure, we won by 20 but we also scored three touchdown in the 4th quarter.

As for Auburn's tough game against State--they were up for us. They made the hype video, tried to make it their game of the year. Part of it is because it was an early SEC game and obviously losing Cam played a role in that as well. I don't mean this to sound snide, they will not be anywhere near as up for the Bama game as they were us. They made a HUGE deal out of the Auburn game. Plus, they have to come to Bryant-Denny Stadium. You have a more talented roster than they do. It'll be tight, but a W none the less. Don't let the recent "slide" deflate you. You have a talented but young roster. They're due for a big game.

Please get it out of the way this week
