At Auburn High School.

From what I understand, he contacted the Auburn Rivals site to alert them of the conference; not UGA's or Bama's. So, if that is a hint?

He's a talented kid, no doubt. But, there isn't a single ounce of worry on my part about our linebackers for the next three/four years. We signed one of the best linebacker classes in the nation this past Feb. and the class is shaping up nicely for 2013 as well.

Even though there's six months left until signing day, I'm hoping this conference kills all of the daily "breaking news" stories we've been inundated with the last few months.

It would have been nice to have him in Crimson. In my mind I've already moved on: keep an eye out on Matthew Thomas.

Glad to hear your view T, but this one makes me sick. This one has Troopa written all over it. No one will hire this thug, yet he has some kind of pull with these recruits. Enter ex-Falcon coach and they seem to be loading up on D. Just don't get it. :icon_scratch:

Obviously something is happening. It doesn't seem he'd call a presser just to confirm his commitment.

I think this may be similar, in reason, to the Yeldon situation. At this point numbers dictate he has a better shot at early PT at AU. He made a comment a while ago referencing a 2-3 year wait to see the field at Bama. Perhaps that is wearing on him? UGA and AU simply do not have the LB depth you guys have. His recent comment about his mom not being able to make it over to T-Town to see him play is a factor also I'm sure.

I have no idea what his plan on but I wish he would either .... or get off the pot, so to speak..

Playing time? Sure, I can see that. Along with that I'd say it's safe to assume the way he'll be received at UGA or Auburn is very different than the way he'll be received if he ends up in Tuscaloosa. You're right about depth. At Auburn, he's going to be spotlighted often. At Bama, he's just another in a long list of talented linebackers. It's just one of the "side-effects" of the recruiting we've had over the last few years.

(One example that puts this in perspective. Even though last years class was considered the best in the nation by some services, rankings wise it was lower than the kids we have on campus. Not by much though. Out of the 26 kids we signed, the number of 4-5*'s accounted for around 73% of the class. Out of the 62 that were already on campus, 79% of those had that 4-5* status coming out of high school)

His mother being able to see games? Duder, it's less than a three hour drive. That one is questionable.

Like you, and I know I've said it time and time again, I'm just tired of the damn story. Get it over with already. Sad thing is, the reporting likely won't be over.

I won't be shocked if the next story we see is "Dee Liner might flip." But, with his arrest recently? Who knows. I know he's reached out to a couple of schools around the SEC stating he doesn't want the recruitment to end.

The mom transportation comment came from Reuben. He listed it as a reason he considered Auburn.

I wasn't worried about Liner flipping before the arrests. As you allude to, those would certainly make a school think twice before putting on a full court press. Of course, all this is dictated by the whims of 17 yr olds

I can translate. I really want to continue hooking up with you even though I'm going steady with someone else.

so his arrests were for crashing pools (trespassing) and telling someone not to talk to his mom a certain way...not overly news worthy in my opinion.

Dee flipping has been suggested for what, 3 months now? maybe the media will give it some legs :)

Do Yeldon and Foster have the same speech writers...they look extremely similar.

Certainly amusing.

I have serious doubts Foster went to the point of looking up Yeldon's script from the presser last year.

To me it certainly seems an orchestrated shot at our program. OK, that's fine if you like it that way Plainsmen. If you look at it from a position outside of being a fan, you'll see the press conference was as much about Alabama as it was playing for Auburn. Make of that what you will.
