My grandfather, who went to nearly all of the home games in the 60s & 70s, said "that team looks just like a Bear team, no doubt about it. If I was Auburn and LSU, I'd go ahead and start getting some players who played against Bear's teams to fill them in." RTR

That's pretty much the epitome of cool. Tell the old dude "ROLL TIDE!" for me.

I don't want to point out something that I didn't experience in my life but I've watched some games of the Bryant era (and read a lot about), and hey, your grandfather isn't wrong. That's something that I noticed as well since the Clemson game, and I love the old-fashioned look of the team.

RTR,

i wasn't around when the Bear was coaching...BUT i will say that this year's Bama team is beginning to look like the '92 (Stallings coached)Tide team. Nobody expected much from them, and at times the offense struggled, but they managed to kick enough rearends around to stay undefeated :)

Here is a side note. Was talking to an Auburn alumni who went to the Tenn game. He said they were playing Another one bites the dust after the game in the stadium...and commented "We barely beat them, I do not see where we have any reason to taunt 'em, hell they should have won." Plus there is some gripping among the fan base...."we are doing nothing but playing back yard football and it sucks".

Just saying what I heard... :D
