I drank the kool-aid, I wore the crimson glasses, I talked about "the Process" and I still kept the houndstooth pattern active as a tribute to greatness past. I was fortunate to be a teen choosing a football allegiance during Bryant's era, enjoyed the years visiting my sister on campus in the early 80's, was present for "The Kick" at Legion Field and was also present at the '92 championship game and many more. I, like many of you, have waited those 17 long years for this National Championship and this amazing feeling once again. It is hard to describe the emotion that this victory brings. The memories one has associated with Bama football, whether it is seeing your newborn in his 1st bama shirt, your 1st time at Denny Chimes placing your hand in the cement prints or even weekends with friends and family grilling out and watching the game together on the TV sharing a passion, Bama football is an all-year, all the time part of your life and right now is a great and fabulous time to be a Bama fan BUT.....To be sure, I was as much of a Bama Fan during those turbulent, difficult years as I am today. CONGRATS BAMA - YOU ARE 14-0 PERFECT SEASON NATIONAL CHAMPIONS and I hope the teams to follow continue your legacy but no matter what, I will always love and support my team. Lets live in the moment because this feels so good!!!!! ROLL TIDE:td:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I promised myself after all the stuff we've been through since '92 that if we ever got back to this point I'd enjoy every second of it. I will make that my official goal for the offseason. :td:
